Yes, they ARE really a brilliant red. Quite fascinating if you ask me.

I do know a few eggless recipes, but dont use them that often, since the kids enjoy the stuff I bake otherwise. I do a lot of veggie pastas...eg. in a mushroom cream sauce, or a coriander cream sauce, or just a tomato based sauce. I often serve these as a totally vegetarian option with stir fried veggies, tomato-basil salad, and garlic bread. Am actually trying to organise this blog, since I'm too new to blogging, and then will attempt to post some recipes too. Thanks for stopping by...
